So this is Buzz....Georgia Tech's mascot. While I was very pleased how these turned out, he isn't nearly as fierce looking as the actual mascot! But they turned out great and the Ga Tech Alumni was very pleased! Pictures soon of the completed swarm!

the anatomy of a ladybug....

So while working on my ladybugs, my daughter Addi (4) looking on, says what are you making? I told her that I was trying to figure out how I wanted my ladybugs to look this time....She cocks her head to the side just so...thought for a second and said....why don't you use the heart cookie cutter for the wings, and turn them upside down? And I thought...well that's a heck of an idea Addi! My little protege! Now, even though that was a fantastic idea...I'm not using it this time! Only because I want the ladybugs to sit on a lime green circle with a little white flower...and maybe a leaf if there's room. I have to say...they are turning out pretty darn cute! Pics soon of the completed bunch....

So this week I'm doing a ladybug themed birthday party and I am pretty excited about it. I love making new things! I've done a garden themed baby shower before, but never a full on ladybug theme! I found these pictures while searching the internet for inspiration....so.stinking.cute!
