About Me

Cupcakes by Dusty: Tampa, Florida, United States; Hi there! I'm Dusty. Mom (to four!), wife and cupcake coniscour extraordinaire. Actually, I'm not nearly as fancy as those words. I love a good cupcake and have perfected my recipes after years of birthday parties, classroom celebrations and showers galore. Cupcakes by Dusty was born in 2008 while I was planning my youngest daughter, Addi's, second birthday. We chose Blue's Clues as the theme, and I found myself suddenly left with an excited two year old and nothing cute to go on my cupcakes! (Where was Pinterest then!) I hand crafted each little Blue dog and bone and fell in love with the craft of cupcakes (not just the buttercream frosting). Even more, when Addi first laid eyes on her Blue's Clues cupcakes, the look on her face sold me. What started as a simple desire to make her smile turned into a hobby and later into Cupcakes by Dusty! Flavors

The Yummy Basics:

Wedding Almond: My most requested cupcake! Delicious, moist white almond flavored cake paired with a classic, fluffy buttercream frosting.

Triple Threat Chocolate: Triple the chocolate, triple the taste! Devils food cake, chocolate chips and rich chocolate pudding, topped with a generous helping of buttercream icing and mini chocolate chips.

Just Vanilla: Sweet and simple. Just Vanilla is a cupcake classic! I pair my coveted (and secret-recipe!) moist vanilla cake with a sweet Southern buttercream frosting.

Specialties: (2 dozen minimum)

Strawberry Fields: Pretty in pink, Strawberry Fields has delicious fresh strawberries baked inside and a nice helping of delicious strawberry cream cheese frosting on top.

Red Velvet: A Southern classic! Only better: Unbelievably moist with a hint of cocoa, the Red Velvet cupcake is outrageously red and topped with a rich cream cheese frosting. Oh my!

Carrot Cake: A delicious blend of carrots, walnuts, nutmeg and cinnamon topped with a yummy cream cheese frosting.

Lemon Head: A fresh lemon cake topped with my signature cream cheese frosting and a pinch of lemon zest
